Spoon CityClub

Spoon CityClub provides a great way to support our fantastic charity and also be a part of a vibrant club with great networking events. It was formed to provide a club environment comprising like-minded members of the London city business community - those who share a passion for rugby, want to play a part in supporting Wooden Spoon and who recognise the advantage of strong networking opportunities.

At Spoon we believe that fundraising should be fun. So in return for your generosity by joining Spoon CityClub you will be invited to prestigious events in the City. These will provide excellent opportunities for entertaining friends, clients and customers, developing your network and building new relationships.

You will receive regular updates of our work and all our upcoming events and please remember that by joining you are enabling us to help those children and young people who are in urgent need of our support.

Projects - what your support helps us achieve

Game On! is an innovative social investment programme designed to reduce the number of young people from socially challenging areas falling into long-term unemployment or a life of crime. More than 1.2 million young people are not in full-time education, employment or training -almost one fifth of all those in the UK -with the highest proportion in deprived areas. Game On! will harness the power and values of rugby to encourage positive behaviour change, build confidence and raise aspiration levels amongst disadvantaged and disillusioned young people. Its unique programme of education and training will help 16-19 year-olds from deprived backgrounds into full-time education, apprenticeships, employment and long-term volunteer work. £1,500 will sponsor a child through the Game On! project.
