A chartered surveyor's annual charity gala raised hundreds of pounds to help disadvantaged children across the West Midlands. Nock Deighton's "Beaujolais" event in Shrewsbury saw £625 donated to Wooden Spoon, a charity that partners with the Rugby Union community across the UK and Ireland to help youngsters facing social, physical or mental disadvantages.

Former England and British Lion Tim Stimpson visited York House of Wrekin College to thank the students for choosing Wooden Spoon as their beneficiary charity for the rest of the school year.
