Members of Wooden Spoon and HRH The Princess Royal were on hand to help open the new Windchimes centre in Kent. The new building replaces an old Victorian building which was in an inaccessible location.
It will provide a resouce function for over 100 families in East Kent and will have the capacity to support up to 6 children for residential respite
at any one time.
The new building was mainly funded from the sale of the old building and funds from the Kent CC capital programme but extra funds were sought for items on the Centre's ' wish list'.
The Kent Committee of Wooden Spoon provided £55,000 for a jacuzzi and also to decorate and equip a Cafe/Bar area in Spoon colours and provide 400 'Wooden Spoon ' Coffee Mugs.
