| Northants is a relatively new region of Wooden Spoon. The Charity has strong links with Premiership Club Northampton Saints. The former Saints, England and Lions player, Martin Bayfield, is the Honorary Regional President. The Regional Committee consists of a number of local volunteers, chaired by Tony Galloni, a local businessman.
Locally, Wooden Spoon has held a number of fundraising events and now has a total of almost £30,000 towards their first project to help local disadvantaged youngsters in the region. The region already has approval for one project at Friars Special School in Wellingborough and is actively looking at others.
Our next event is a Spring Ball at Whittlebury Hall on April 28th, 2007.
