| Famed for his prolific long distance goal kicking, Thorburn now works for the Ospreys in Wales as Strategic Development Manager for the Ospreys and has been a keen supporter of Spoon for a number of years.
He is presently Lead Ambassador on the Spoon funded Osprey's Project to encourage and motivate disenfranchised teenagers and help them set and achieve their goals. This initiative forms part of the Ospreys ongoing commitment to working in the community. They have already trained hundreds of prison officers and youth workers as rugby coaches in an aim to get kids off the streets.
Thorburn joins fellow Spoon Ambassadors Rob Henderson, Jason Leonard and Ian Robertson on the panel for a Q&A with broadcaster and long time Spoon supporter, Jon Inverdale at the Plaisterer’s Hall, London on Friday 29th January.
