| At the beginning of May Wooden Spoon Rugby made their first appearance at the Carrick Sevens Tournament, Ulster’s largest rugby tournament, that began 35 years ago at Carrickferfgus RFC (founded in 1865), winning the Guinness 7’s tournament on Saturday and reaching the semi finals of the Manvik Premier 7’s on Sunday. |

| At a rain soaked East Grinstead RFC the Wooden Spoon 7s team shocked players and spectators alike by winning the Spoon benefiting, 51st Sunshine 7s competition. Widely recognised as one of the major sevens events on the circuit, Wooden Spoon were crowned champions of the 32 team competition that included teams from the British Army and the Kaiviti Crusaders. |

| Wooden Spoon Rugby sent a young team to play in the 5th Bob Knight invitational Sevens at Worthing RFC at the end of July. The standard at the tournament was very high with the Army and nave being represented but the Spoon team accredited themselves with honour and enjoyed running out for the charity. |
